Mrs Mac's has dedicated itself to reducing the impact of climate change, by constantly looking at new and innovative ways to reduce its emissions, as well as reduce the overall costs.
The federal government has awarded a number of companies a share of $4.4 million dollars in grants. These grants are a part of the Re-tooling For Climate Change program. Mrs Mac's will receive $500,000 to assist in the innovation and upgrade of a number of areas. It is planned that production will become more efficient, and in turn will reduce the amount of Greenhouse Gas emissions by up to 20 per cent.
Mrs Mac's plan to use the grant to upgrade the production line, install an additional condenser for the Ammonia Plant, and replace the boiler system.
The Innovation Minister, Kim Carr, has said that the intention of the grants is to increase the efficiency of companies, cut their costs, and boost their profits. All while helping in the fight against Climate Change.
