The 2011 Food Industry Association Gala Awards Dinner was held on 17th June. This year saw Mrs Mac's triumph to win the Best Marketing Campaign for the "Lean Meat, Crusty Top - Crusty Challenge".
The campaign consisted of a video released on YouTube that went viral receiving more than 1.2 million views within a fortnight. The "Crusty Challenge" then followed, allowing people to "video link" through Facebook and be the last one standing (out of nearly 100 people) and complete specific challenges along the way.
To add to the accolades, Mrs Mac's was also a finalist in the Environment & Sustainability category. Mrs Mac's was recognised for its ever growing efficiency in which the company uses its resources including water, energy, packaging, chemicals and raw materials. Although the entry didn't win the award, it was an excellent submission and came extremely close to winning.
Both entries faced tough competition from Anchor Foods and IGA in the Best Marketing Campaign category, and Craig Mostyn Group and Perth Market City in Environment & Sustainability.
Congratulations to all involved and we look forward to seeing what happens in the coming months.
