Mrs Mac's has tasted great success at the 2011 Great Aussie Pie Competition, earning three silver medals and one bronze in the Plain & Gourmet Pie Category.

Mrs Mac's scooped a silver medal for their gourmet Red Embers Steak, Cheese & Onion Pie and, most notably, for two exciting new products including the popular 280g Angus Steak Pie and the 175g Turkey & Cranberry Pie, available exclusively through Caltex stores from October to December. A bronze medal was awarded for the popular Meat Lovers Pie, which was initially launched as a limited edition pie in 2010.

The Great Aussie Pie Competition is traditionally held at the Fine Food Convention each year with the principal objective of providing "a national platform for quality pie improvement". This year, 14 judges oversaw a fierce crowd, with the Competition attracting over 600 high-calibre entrants across Australia.

It's a major win for Mrs Mac's, with the Australian-owned and family operated business having been in the pie and pastry arena for over 50 years - and counting! All products are baked on premises in Western Australia, sourcing local produce where possible and using only 100% lean Australian beef in all pie and pastry products.
